Evaluation & Franchise Committee Meeting

‘The Evaluation and Franchising Committee shall oversee the One Stop Operator, set standards for centers and affiliates, franchise centers and affiliates, monitor continuous quality improvement and job seeker customer satisfaction in centers and affiliates, promote the franchised centers and affiliates using the Workforce New York branding, and monitoring system performance.’

Dave Vickery called the meeting to order for Don Unger, who could not be present.

 

Agenda Items

 

1) Approval of February 24, 2010 Minutes

Judy McManus moved to approve the minutes.  Donna Donabella seconded.  The minutes were approved. 

 

 

2)  Roundtable Update- All

 

 

3) Associate Site Application- Oswego Industries (CES) - Gary McIllvain

Gary reviewed the CES renewal application as an Associate Site.  Gary reviewed the organizational setup and purpose of CES.   He explained parts of their application in detail, and then answered questions from the committee.  Donna Donabella moved to approve the application.  Judy McManus seconded.  The application was approved. 

 

 

4) Oswego County Workforce New York Update- Nick Della Penna

The Review Team of Dave Vickery, Donna Donabella, Evelyn LiVoti and Nick performed a site visit to the Fulton One-Stop Center on May 4.  The Team will make a recommendation to the committee at our next meeting. 

 

The Mexico DSS renewal application is due in August.  The committee will review it in November.

 

 

5)  Performance Review- Judy McManus

Judy reviewed the performance results for the 1st two quarters of PY’09.  We are meeting all nine Common Measures.  The incentives provided to youth enrollees seem to be working.  We are behind the goals for the System Improvement measures.  We should have little problem meeting the youth ITA goal for the year.

 

 

6)  Customer Feedback Reports- Job Seekers, Training & Business- Judy McManus

The Customer Satisfaction Summary Report for January – March was very positive.  Once again, we had only a handful of “fair” and “poor” responses, from over 700 total responses for the quarter. 

 

Judy reviewed the Classroom Training report for the 3rd quarter of PY’09.  The response rate was the highest it has been in recent memory- 22 responses from the 55 surveys mailed out.  Responses were generally favorable.

 

Nick reviewed the Business Services Customer Satisfaction Survey results for the 3rd quarter of PY’09.  The response rate was high - 12 responses were received from the 32 surveys mailed out.  Most responses were either “Very Satisfied” or “Satisfied”. 

 

 

7)  Training & Center Activity Report- Judy McManus

There was no new data to report on.
 

 

8) Career Ladder Map Update- Nick Della Penna

Nick reviewed the initial 2010 tracking report to see who is visiting the site.  The report covers the 1st quarter of 2010.  The Business Development Committee has suggested that we set goals for the amount of visitors to the site.  We will be discussing this over the next few weeks.
